Halloween Chocolate Witches Brew

Preparation: 20 minutes / Cooking Time: 3-4 minutes and 2 hours chilling

Ingredients:

200g dark chocolate, chopped

2 eggs, separated

1 tsp natural vanilla extract

300ml cream, whipped

2x40g chocolate bar (choose the kids favourite or a normal flavoured chocolate bar to be safe)

100g chocolate cookies, crushed

Candy teeth and other Halloween themed lollies to decorate

Method:

Step 1: Place the chocolate into a heatproof bowl, place this bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, making sure that the base of the bowl is not touching the water. Stand for a few minutes until almost melted and then stir smooth. Leave for about 5 minutes until cooled but still melted.

Step 2: Stir the egg yolks and vanilla extract into the chocolate. Fold a large spoonful of the whipped cream through the chocolate mixture to help loosen it, then fold the rest.

Step 3: Using a clean electric mixer, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form, then fold into the chocolate mixture until combined. Fold through the chopped chocolate bars. Spoon into six 185 ml capacity glasses or cups and refrigerate for about 2 hour or until set and well chilled.

Step 4: DECORATE! Use your imagination and make your chocolate witches’ brew as pretty or as disgusting as you want 🙂
