Using Essential Oils for Pest Control

Lately I have been developing an interest for essential oils because we use them at work so much and very recently we had a bad ant problem outside of the clinic. After looking at numerous pest control products I stumbled across a website that claimed you can use essential oils. After a bit of research this is what I found:

Ants – Peppermint and Spearmint

Beetles – Peppermint and Thyme

Caterpillars – Spearmint and Peppermint

Fleas – Peppermint, Lemongrass, Spearmint and Lavender

Flies – Lavender, Peppermint, Rosemary and Sage

Lice – Cedarwood, Peppermint and Spearmint

Mosquitoes – Lavender, and Lemongrass

Moths – Cedarwood, Hyssop, Lavender, Peppermint and Spearmint

Plant Lice – Peppermint and Spearmint

Slugs – Cedarwood, Pine and Hyssop

Snails – Cedarwood, Pine and Patchouli

Spiders – Peppermint and Spearmint

Ticks – Lavender, Lemongrass, Sage and Thyme

Weevils – Cedarwood, Patchouli and Sandalwood
