2 tbsp olive oil
500g beef stir fry strips
1 brown onion, finely chopped
200g mushrooms thinly sliced
175g Masterfoods beef stroganoff recipe base
2 tsp Italian herbs
2 tbsp light sour cream
2 tbsp chopped chived
Steamed carrots to serve
Steamed broccoli to serve
Step 1: Heat half the oil in a large frying pan on medium-high heat. Cook the beef in 2 batched for 3-4 minutes or until lightly browned then transfer to a plate.
Step 2: Heat the remaining oil in the pan over medium heat. Cook the onion for 3-4 minutes or until softened. Add the mushroom and cook for a further 3-4 minutes of until lightly browned.
Step 3: Stir in the recipe base and herbs, bring to the boil and return the beef to the pan. Reduce the heat down to low and bring to a simmer, cook for 8-10 minutes until the meat is tender. Add the sour cream and cook until mixed through.
Step 4: Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a large saucepan of salted boiling water following the directions on the packet.
Step 5: Divide the pasta evenly among serving bowls and top with the stroganoff, sprinkle with chives and season. Serve with carrots and broccoli.
