Bath bombs are not a new concept and I remember them from my childhood, there are plenty of bath bombs on the market but they are cheap and easy to make at home as well!
Makes: 2 large bath bombs
4 oz. baking soda
2 oz. corn starch
2 ox. Citric acid
2 oz. Epsom salt
1 to 1 ½ teaspoons of water
1 teaspoon essential oil of your choice
1 ¼ teaspoon coconut oil
1-2 drops of food colouring (optional)
Step 1: In a bowl, combine the baking soda, corn starch, citric acid and Epsom salt, whisk to remove any clumps.
Step 2: In a small bowl, stir together the water, essential oil, oil and food colouring until combined. Slowly pour the liquid mixture into the dry mixture, stirring as you pour. If you see the mixture start to foam it means you are adding the mixture too fast.
Step 3: Once combined, start moulding the mixture with your hands into 2 large balls.
