Beauty Must-Haves This Summer!

Summer is the season of fun, excitement, and of course, soaking up the sun! Beach outings and pool parties await, and you need to be prepared to look and feel your best. We all have our favorite beauty products, and the following essentials are definite summer must haves!

1) Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 45

First on the list is sunscreen. This product is one of the most important to have in the hot summer weather, and we all need to take UV protection very seriously. When choosing a sunscreen, I’m looking for one that is light and definitely not greasy.  Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 45 is precisely that. It is gentle and soft, and feels wonderful when applied, and most importantly, it provides excellent Sun protection. Like the name suggests, this dry-touch sunscreen leaves no greasy marks upon application. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone.

2) Mark Hill Holiday Hair Sun, Sea Frizz-Free Anti-Humidity Spray

Summer can be very humid, and humidity means big, frizzy hair. If your hair is curly like mine, it will fluff up with even a hint of humidity in the air.
This can be very bothersome, especially if you spent a lot of time making it look presentable. But there is a product that can counteract this frustrating and common occurrence. Mark Hill Holiday Hair Sun, Sea Frizz-Free Anti-Humidity Spray will make your hair lovely and shiny while preventing the frizzing. It also smells divine, which is an added bonus. This product is an excellent ally in the battle of the fluff!

3) Nivea Smooth Sensation Body Lotion

I have dry skin, which can sometimes feel like sandpaper. It is not easy finding a body lotion that provides adequate moisturization, while also being light and easily absorbable. Water and sand do not go well with dry skin, so I always make sure to bring a body lotion on beach outings. My favorite is the Nivea Smooth Sensation Body Lotion. Nivea has some amazing products, and this product is no exception. It moisturizes the skin perfectly, and is very long lasting. My skin is hydrated and very grateful for this lovely product.

4)  Face Stockholm Cream Lipstick -Curry

Summer is the time for some daring makeup and lipstick colors. I’ve always found that I can pull bright colors much better with a little bit of tan. This lipstick makes my summer looks really pop, Face Stockholm Cream Lipstick – Curry. It is bright, creamy, and provides a perfect touch of summer to your face. I will definitely be using it even with some of more subdued makeup looks to make me stand out in the crowd!

5) CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Waterproof Mascara

When it comes to makeup in the summer, one of the must haves is a good waterproof mascara. Hot weather and sweat do not make a great look, so you need to have a mascara that is long lasting and will not melt down your face. One such product is CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Waterproof Mascara, which provides excellent coverage. It doesn’t clump your eyelashes together and it doesn’t smudge easily. It was recommended by a friend, and I swear by it!

6) Concrete Minerals Tempress Mineral Eyeshadow

Good eye shadow can make your eyes really stand out! I love trying out new eye shadows and I’m always on the lookout for new products that are not just beautiful, but healthy for your skin too. One of my recently found little surprises is the Concrete Minerals Tempress Mineral Eyeshadow. This aqua shade is perfect for the summer, with just a bit of sparkle. I love how it looks in summer, and it is easy to apply as well. I will be trying some other Concrete Minerals shades in the future too.

The product that I use the most is Dove Go Sleeveless Soothing Chamomile Anti-Perspirant Deodorant. It us gentle and soothing, especially when applying it after shaving. The chamomile is lovely and smells very nice.

8) Olay White Bar Ultra moisture with Shea Butter

I’m constantly on the lookout for good moisturizing products, due to my dry and sensitive skin. I have found it surprisingly difficult to find a soap that meets my needs. Even ones that are advertised as being dry skin friendly made my skin even drier. The one product that has met my expectations is Olay White Bar Ultra moisture with Shea Butter. It is very creamy and soft, and provides an excellent skin hydration. It is definitely one of my essentials, and will continue to be in the future.

9) BareMinerals Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15

We all want natural and flawless skin, but that can be hard to achieve sometimes. Some foundations will give you an unpleasant cakey look and make you look like a plastic doll, and that is something to be avoided. What I look for in a foundation is good coverage and natural look. I found this in bareMinerals Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15. This foundation has never let me down, it blends really well with my natural skin town and gives my skin a lovely luminous touch. It is perfect for hot summer days as it is not heavy and oily.
